HYDROSTATIC PRESSURE TESTING
After a visual inspection, hose is pressure tested to its test pressure using recycled water, with compressed air used for stainless steel hoses. Powell Industrial can test up to pressures of 3000 psi (207 Bar). Pressure testing takes the hose up to the test pressure specified by the manufacturer (usually 1.5 times maximum working pressure). Tests are conducted in accordance with Australian Standards for a minimum of 1-2 minutes.
VACUUM & SUCTION TESTING
Vacuum testing is conducted at Powell Industrial to ensure that any hose we build for vacuum or suction purposes will perform efficiently and reliably in its intended application. All hose assemblies built at Powell Industrial that are subjected to either vacuum or suction applications are tested in strict accordance with Australian Standard AS 1180 7J & NAHAD Standards.
